Fashion moment finished! Thank goodness. It is one of our first big assessments so I hope I have done alright. I now love ruby lips again because I am not having to think about what to write about them.

a little treat

This week I had the results from my first exam for Contextual Studies and I passed with a 2:1. Yay. So happy that I have got it out of the way. So I thought this weekend I would treat myself to some new clothes (which to be honest I've been doing quite a lot anyway since starting uni as you can see.) Anyway I raided H&M and got some nice things. Sadly I can't find pictures of them on their website but I got a sheer black blouse, a printed tee with a swan on and some lovely shorts. Really want some light blue high waisted jeans- going to have to do some online shopping.

christmas on oxford street

The boyf and I went to Oxford Street yesterday - I have never been in London around Christmas time before so I was amazed to see how pretty it all looked. I am admittedly not a big Christmas person but I have to say it made me feel very Christmasy. The lights were so pretty and there was even a snow machine outside Urban Outfitters. Lovely.

kiss me quick

As I am writing my fashion moment piece on ruby lips I have been looking a lot at lipstick trends of the seasons and past years. I have also been looking at lips from a different perspective, seeing how designers have used them as a print or a motif - or in this case as a clutch bag. Lulu Guinness has made iconic lip-shaped clutches for years and 2012 shows the motif appearing again. I've sort of fallen in love with all of them.

the beautiful fall

I am trying to stay focused on this book that we've been recommended to read at uni. I keep buying magazines so it's hard to find the time to read it! It's about Yves Saint-Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld as they start their careers in Paris. It's so interesting and their lives sound so glamourous even though YSL sounds like he has a lot of personal issues. To anyone who loves Paris and fashion this is an interesting read.

As always Rumi is wearing something I want. This metal dress is by Versace for H&M so when the collection comes out I will have to keep an eye out for it.

delilah vintage

My boyfriend is 21 this weekend and we are having a black tie party for him meaning an excuse to dress up. A while ago I fell in love with a Delilah dress in the vintage section of Topshop on Oxford Street. It is so pretty I can't wait to wear it. I haven't been able to find any pictures of the exact dress online, the closest I have come is this dress by Rare. My dress has the same skirt but the back is made of sheer lace. It is beautiful.

Also at the weekend I went to Camden Town where I found a Vanilla shop which had so many nice (but expensive) things. My boyfriend treated me to some Chanel (I wish!) look-a-like earrings. They will look great with my dress for this weekend.

she wolf

Today I treated myself (again) to a jumper from New Look that I've had my eye on for a while. It has a wolf face on - I'm in love with it. I can wear it with my new leather leggings. The animal jumpers have been big for a while now, with pictures showing Aspen Lennon,Taylor Swift and Halle Berry in one.

As well as fashion toast I always look on lookbook to see what other people are wearing from around the World. I like the fact you can see wear people have got their clothes so I can find them! The shorts above are from Topshop - may have to get some. I love what this girl from Scotland is wearing.

I had a very nice surprise today. Because I am subscribed to ELLE magazine I sometimes get presents and today got a £25 gift card from Kurt Geiger. Obviously I would have loved to have bought some shoes but none for £25 of course. So instead I ordered a gold bracelet from him. Thank you very much Mister Geiger.

gilet love

I am loving furry gilets at the moment. I have a brown one with fur lining but I want one with all fur. I love the one worn by Rumi below.

But my favourite is this black topshop one on the right for £60 - top of the christmas list for santa.

Did a little bit of shopping this weekend as well when I went back home to the Midlands. Got some Topshop leather leggings, a going-out lace top from New Look and some leather flats from New Look (real leather for just £15 and they're so pretty.)

Top of my realistic wish list are these - they're only £70 which is nothing for what they are, I'm sure I could save a bit of money on food so that I can get them!

Either the silver ones at the top of the mother of pearl ones I can't decide! Maybe I will have to get both....

Oh if only I had money I would buy everything here. I love love love black and gold as you may have guessed from my other collections and with red lipstick it's one of my favourite looks at the moment. I want the studded Louboutin flats because they give an edgy look, little details can change an item of clothing completely. Obviously the Chanel quilted bag is gorgeous - I have been dying for a Chanel bag for as long as I can rememeber! But of course unless I win the lottery then it doesn't seem possible. Damn it. The Mcqueen cluth bag I found is really nice as well but I can imagine that would also be way way out of my price range. Leather shorts and leggings are such a good look at the moment but I don't know if I would be able to pull them off. A girl can dream.
