On the 29th April 2012 William and Kate will be celebrating their one year wedding anniversary as, I'm sure, the rest of the country will be. The Royal wedding will be one of those days when everyone remembers where they were, what they were wearing and who they were with as they watched Kate enter Westminster Abbey in THAT dress. As predicted Sarah Burton since then has become head of Alexander McQueen and Kate Middleton has become a style icon to rival Kate Moss and Alexa Chung.
From Alice Temperley to Alexander McQueen it is no surprise that our Princess loves designer however, she is a fan of the high street too. Zara, Topshop and Whistles have made numerous appearances at Royal events. Described as the ‘Kate Effect,’ Kate’s high street clothes become sold out in seconds. For example, one Topshop tunic she wore out and was seen in was sold out from the Topshop website 24 hours after the picture was printed. You would think Kate has a team of highly trained stylists and beauticians behind her all the time; however it is said that she has refused the help of a stylist and does her own make-up. In my eyes this makes our Princess all the more stylish.
Kate is so stylish that celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Sarah Jessica Parker have begun to steal her style. It cannot be denied that Miss Middleton is beautiful and she has a body to die for. With an enviously slim physique she makes me never want to eat a cake ever again. She represents our country with a huge amount of beauty and grace and, more importantly, wears the most beautiful clothes. She makes us proud to be British.
